How to adjust the uneven wave soldering peak?

The problem of uneven wave soldering peaks can usually be adjusted through the following steps:

1. Check the tin furnace and the guide rail: Make sure that the tin furnace is parallel to the guide rail plane. If the two are not parallel, the position of the tin furnace needs to be adjusted as a whole to keep the tin spraying surface consistent with the guide rail plane. Note that the tin spraying surface does not necessarily need to be completely horizontal, and it can be tilted at an appropriate angle to the horizontal plane as a whole.
2: Check the wave crest generation system: The unstable wave crest may be caused by problems with the wave crest generation system. Check and adjust the wave crest adjustment device to ensure the normal operation of the wave crest generation system.
Cleaning and maintenance
1: Clean the filter: The filter in the wave soldering tin furnace is easily blocked by tin slag or other impurities, resulting in uneven wave crests. The tin slag in the filter needs to be cleaned regularly, and it is generally recommended to clean it once a week. If it is inconvenient to maintain in an emergency, you can use a spatula or a barrel to knock on the filter when the wave crest is turned on to temporarily restore the flatness of the wave crest.
2: Clean the nozzle: If you are using selective wave soldering, you also need to check and clean the nozzle to ensure that the nozzle is not blocked and the flux can be evenly applied.
Adjust welding parameters
1: Adjust the wave crest height: The wave crest height is one of the important factors affecting the welding quality. According to the thickness of the printed circuit board and the layout of the components, adjust the wave crest height to a suitable position, generally controlled at about 2/3 of the thickness of the printed circuit board.
2: Set the preheating temperature: The preheating temperature has a great influence on the welding effect. According to factors such as the PCB board layer and the number of components, set the appropriate preheating temperature to ensure that the components and PCB board can be fully heated during welding.
Check other possible problems
1: Check the welding materials: Make sure that the welding materials are dry, free of moisture, and the quality meets the requirements. Welding materials with moisture or poor quality may cause bubbles or pores during welding.
2: Welding poor PCB boards: The design, processing and storage environment of PCB boards may affect the welding quality. Check whether the PCB boards have warping, contamination and other problems, and ensure that their design and processing meet the welding requirements.
Actual operation and debugging
After making the above adjustments, actual soldering operations are required to verify the adjustment effect. Observe the stability of the wave crest and the changes in soldering quality during the soldering process, and make further adjustments as needed. Through the adjustment and inspection of the above steps, the problem of uneven wave soldering crests can usually be solved.
