The full name of SMT is Surface mount technology. SMT peripheral equipment refers to the machines or equipment used in the SMT process. Different manufacturers configure different SMT production lines according to their own strength and scale and customer requirements. They can be divided into semi-automatic SMT production lines and fully automatic SMT production lines. The machines and equipment are not the same, but the following SMT equipment is a relatively complete and rich configuration line.
1. Loading machine: The PCB board is placed in the shelf and automatically sent to the suction board machine.
2. Suction machine: pick up the PCB and place it on the track and transfer it to the solder paste printer.
3. Solder paste printer: accurately leak solder paste or patch glue onto the pads of the PCB to prepare for component placement. The printing presses used for SMT are roughly divided into three types: manual printing presses, semi-automatic printing presses and fully automatic printing presses.
4. SPI: SPI is the abbreviation of Solder Paste Inspection. It is mainly used to detect the quality of PCB boards printed by solder paste printers, and to detect the thickness, flatness and printing area of solder paste printing.
5. Mounter: Use the program edited by the equipment to accurately install the components on the fixed position of the printed circuit board. The mounter can be divided into a high-speed mounter and a multi-function mounter. The high-speed mounter is generally used for mounting small Chip components, the multi-functional and useless placement machine mainly mounts large components or heterosexual components in the form of rolls, discs or tubes.
6. PCB conveyor: a device for transferring PCB boards.
7. Reflow oven: Located behind the placement machine in the SMT production line, it provides a heating environment to melt the solder paste on the pads, so that the surface mount components and the PCB pads are firmly bonded together by the solder paste alloy.
8. Unloader: Automatically collect PCBA through the transmission track.
9. AOI: Automatic Optical Identification System, which is the abbreviation of English (Auto Optical Inspection), is now widely used in the appearance inspection of circuit board assembly lines in the electronics industry and replaces the previous manual visual inspection. During automatic detection, the machine automatically scans the PCB through the camera, collects images, and compares the tested solder joints with the qualified parameters in the database. After image processing, the defects on the PCB are checked, and the defects are displayed/marked through the display for Repairman repairs.
